This is who we love forever: Mr. Joel Stein.
Joel is a great guy and he did a solid favor for the babies and children of the world with scoliosis, like my son Bex.
I just read his awesome column in “Time” Magazine this week and he gave a shout out to Girl to Mom and even mentioned my name and Bex’s condition.
To put this in perspective, Progressive Infantile Scoliosis is a little known disease that can be fatal in babies and young kids, and it is not even on the map for most pediatricians and orthopedic surgeons.
Most of them miss it and/or treat it wrongly and dangerously. But “Time” has a circulation of 20 Million people in America and 25 Million people worldwide. Holy crap.
Suck it, scoliosis!
Sorry. Where is my dignity?
Joel, you’ve done a very, very good thing. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
XOXO-
~ Heidi
P.S. There’s an early copy of “Time” available to All Access subscribers to www.Time.com -but you have to pay for that, you can just get the paper magazine itself tomorrow. The title “What We Spend” and an image of money is on the cover. I’m buying one for everyone I know.
WHOO HOO and big YAY for the children!!!

Joel is awesome! What wonderful publicity for IS.

I will! Joel did such a good thing, I know it will directly save more children. I’ve seen it happen just from my blog.
