1.) Bexon and being a Mom.
2.) Nick, he takes such good care of me.
3.) My family and friends.
4.) We have a cat who visits our house every day who we don’t have to feed.
This is Humphrey.
He’s moonlighting, don’t tell his owner.
5.) Delicious, restorative sleep.
6.) Elmo. And how he’s moving on after having his heart ripped out of his lil’ furry red chest by Katy Perry.
7.) Reading books in a cozy warm bed.
8.) Long distance and Internet friendships dear to my heart.
9.) The Internet.
10.) Google. Seriously, how did we live before Google?
11.) Nutz our wild yard squirrel. Although I am concerned he’ll jump on my face one day and have to be surgically removed.
And I think Humphrey the cat is hunting Nutz. More to follow.
12.) My lady parts. What? TMI? Weird that this follows Nutz?
You know you’re grateful for yours. Or if you’re a guy, those of…others. My lovely lady humps? Is that how Fergie sang it?
I’m sorry. I won’t post a pic of all of my lady parts, not today anyway ; ) Maybe one late night after my usual bathtub full of gin and juice. I kid, I kid…
13.) Pedialyte. I had food poisoning yesterday. I’m better now. Trust me, you don’t want to know any more about that little nightmare. Just that I’m grateful to be alive and able to keep coffee down.
14.) Coffee. Especially a skinny vanilla latte.
15.) Girly fashion stuff. Including jewelry and cute boots. I just bought these, luv ‘em!
16.) That the Earth is exactly the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light.
17.) I’m thankful for gratitude. In this case two positives don’t make a negative, they make a positive-positive.
18.) The kindness of strangers. Especially strangers who become friends.
19.) Inspirational Quotes like this one:
Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.
~ Scott Adams
20.) Hummus. And extra virgin olive oil and avocado. And salmon. Actually, all Mediterranean food. Okay, all yummy food.
Italian, French, Thai, Mexican, Seafood, Cajun and Creole, sushi, turkey, avocado, sandwiches, mac and cheese, salad, fried oysters, all cheese of any kind, chocolate, Thanksgiving stuffing, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, you name it…git in mah belly.
21.) Products, like make-up and sunscreen and hair stuff that keeps my hair from looking like a total frizz ball.
22.) Jesus. This list is not in order of importance, or Jesus would come way way way before hair products.
23.) Prayer.
24.) Trees. And grass. And leaves. And flowers and sunsets. I better just include all of nature’s majestic beauty in this one.
25.) Walking in the room to hear Bex dancing and singing at the top of his lungs (this morning to the song Babies on Yo Gabba Gabba!)
Babies! Babies! Remember when were all babies!
26.) For airport security. I just hope whoever feels me up is gentle.
27.) Little white lights. Glitter, sequins, fireworks. Anything sparkly, really.
28.) Photographs. And that my skin does not look like this yet:
29.) Second acts and second chances.
30.) Laughter.
31.) Love.
32.) Laughter and love especially when they’re combined.
33.) Hope.
I could go on and on. What’s your thankful list?
Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
Love,
-Heidi
