Oprah’s Last Show Lessons

Oprah

We love you Oprah!

I suspect there will soon be a medical condition diagnosed that will be due to Oprah Show Withdrawals.

The symptoms will include but not be limited to: The Ugly Cry, drunk dialing Gayle and checking obsessively to see if your poop is in that coveted “S” shape that Dr. Oz famously advised.

But fear not! I jotted down some notes while watching Oprah’s last show and these are the lessons I felt she was trying to teach us.

I hope I got them mostly right, and of course, I am still trying to learn them myself as I fumble towards becoming a grown-up.

10 Best Oprah Lessons:

1.) No matter what your childhood was like, you are responsible for your life.

2.) You are responsible for the energy you bring into a room or to a situation.

3.) Everything is energy in this world, including flowers, trees and you.

4.) Oprah believes in the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” and that, as in physics, for every action there is a reaction.

5.) It’s your true job in life to find your passion, that thing that makes your heart sing and your good, positive energy flow, and shine your bright light while doing it.

It doesn’t have to be your job but it can be, the important thing is to find where you shine and know you are in the exact right place at that moment.

6.) Gratitude is key in life, and learning to appreciate the simple abundance.

7.) There should be no shame in your learning curve, all addiction is the same. No need to ever feel superior to anyone, the root of all addiction is a feeling of unworthiness.

8.) Remember that everyone wants to be seen, heard, and validated.

9.) God is love and God speaks to you in a whisper, then perhaps a gut instinct or a voice and then He may knock you upside the head. Pay attention to the whisper and those “Aha!” moments.

Your life and God is speaking to you, so take time to be quiet and listen.

10.) We often block our own blessings because we don’t feel worthy enough. You alone are enough.

Feel worthy to live the life you are meant to.

Thank you for 25 years of lessons, Oprah!
