Studded Combat Boots

“Life’s tough, wear combat boots.”

Every fall season, I generally buy at least one pair of boots. Sometimes two or three pairs, but this year, I’m on a budget and I picked these Steven Madden studded combat boots.

I lovvvve boots, more than I love high heels. I’m generally a flat sandal, flip flops and boots kinda girl, and I like things that are embellished or unique in some way- I like cute, clever, sexy or creative details. Speaking of sexy…

AHEM. These Christian Louboutin Yolanda spikes are totally hot and amazeballs, but I’m more likely just to look at them as “shoe porn” than I am to splurge on actually buying them.

I’m into the metal studs/punk trend, but it can go too far for this mama.

But then again, who ISN’T into studs who go too far? Har. Get it? Studs, like men? I’ll stop.

The red cowboy boots I bought last year.

There’s something about wearing boots that makes me feel more confident and secure when I head out of the door.

Like, don’t f*ck with me, I’m wearing boots!

God know princess needs a little extra protection from herself, and my battle is currently more of an internal one than it is with the world at large…

So, maybe these boots are meant for me to help me kick my own butt, metaphorically speaking.

Or to beat my demons to the curb.

This dress is super cool to me, but my demons don’t have my back.

I gave them their pharmaceutical drugs to carry in those little teddy bear shaped backpacks so they can leave, to (hopefully) never return.

And if they try to come back, they better be prepared for a combat boot in the ass. Holla!
