As you know, I don’t do too many promotions and giveaways (almost none), but I love to give and receive beautiful flowers and I couldn’t pass this one up. Just looking at these images gives me a joyful rush…
I thought maybe one of you would like to send a dozen roses to a friend or loved one in Manhattan, NYC (the bouquet has a $60.00 value). These pictures they sent me are just gorgeous and the emails were lovely, this is a company that knows how to do P.R. right:

Dear Heidi,
“Ode à la Rose” (www.odealarose.com) is a recently launched NYC based online rose delivery boutique bringing the luxury & style back to the way New Yorkers send flowers.
Founded by two French investment bankers-turned florists, Olivier Plusquellec and Louis Brunet, their goal is to bring a more personal “Mom & Pop” feel to the online floral delivery market by doing everything in-house, down to hand tying the bouquets. With their focus on high-end quality, they provide the feel of luxury at mid-level pricing. Along with exquisite presentation and a real-time photo follow-up to the purchaser (so you know exactly what’s being sent), they’re able to cater to the buyer as well as the recipient.
What makes Ode à la Rose unique:
Quality: High-end quality & sophistication, with mid-level pricing
Packaging: It’s fashion-forward and modern gift box, with sayings like, “Aren’t You The Lucky One,” and beautiful presentation with soft tissue and loose petals inside
Experience: All bouquets are handcrafted and hand-tied by their in-house French floral designer and then hand-delivered to each recipient.
Ode à la Rose bouquets send a certain message from buyer to recipient, one that we hope your readers would appreciate.
Kind regards,
Olivier Plusquellec

Don’t you just want to meet Olivier? So this is how it will work: leave a comment under this post telling me who you’d like to send the flowers to, and why (if you’re not too shy about it). And please also “Like” the Girl to Mom page on Facebook- I’m updating there every day, now. You can enter as long as you’re not a member of my family. The winner will be chosen one week from today- next Saturday- at random. I’ll put the names in a bowl and let my 5 year old boy Bexon blindly choose the winner, so everyone has an equal chance to win. Remember, they currently deliver only in New York City, but the company is planning to expand- this delivery has to be in Manhattan only this time… Yay for love, friendship and romance! *Happy sigh* XOXO- ~ Heidi |

I would love to send these to my friend Sue in NYC. She left all her friends and family in Florida to “start fresh” in the Big Apple, and we all miss her desperately. It’s been hard for her with a new job, trying to create new friendship, and missing the Florida sunshine. It would put such a big smile on her face to receive these lovely flowers, and remind her that she’s loved and supported.
Mymfriend in NYC is the funniest, sassiest, smartest single woman I know. She deserves flowers every day
I don’t know a single person in NYC….but I know that most any nursing home would LOVE a gorgeous bouquet of roses. They could separate them, so each dining room table could have a beautiful blossom. From my many years working in NHs, I know those roses would be loved and loved and talked about. Scatter kindness…randomly!
You know what? This is the best idea I have ever seen. If my name is drawn please do the same. I love random acts of kindness. They truly make the world go round!
Thank you ShelMum!

I have an elementary school friend who moved to NYC as an intern and is now rockin the city one day at a time
I haven’t seen her in years, but I do keep up with her on Facebook. Her mom has kept up with me in town too, which is so sweet
Her name is Paige. She’s a doll

I would love to send these flowers to my two best friends, who happen to share an office. I know they’re swamped at work right now, and I’m betting that some nice flowers would really make their day!
