Weelicious Cookbook- Giveaway!

Weelicious book

I forgot to celebrate our anniversary. Well, G to M’s “Blogoversary,” two years of writing this blog, was earlier this month. September 3rd, 2010 was the day of my first post ever, Dinosaur Mating Rituals to be exact.

I think the first month Girl to Mom was up, I had about 50 or 60 unique visitors, mostly my friends and family. Last month, this little site had 213,803 page views and it’s growing every week. I have you to thank for that, thank you!

You’ve laughed and cried with me, cheered on my brave little boy and listened to some of my darkest secrets, giving me love and encouragement each time I fall on my face. Your comments and love pick me back up, time and time again.

I have the opportunity to giveaway TWO gorgeous hard cover family cookbooks, called “Weelicious” and I thought two of you who like to cook would enjoy it. It’s full of gorgeous photographs of nourishing and delicious looking food and of the author Catherine McCord and her beautiful family.

Catherine is ridiculously pretty and it’s probably all of the healthy food she eats. I really must clean up my diet.

This book seems perfect for a new mother (great baby shower gift) or for parents of small children who want to learn simple, easy recipes they can create for family mealtime and kid’s homemade snacks, etc.

If you’d like the book sent to your door, just leave a comment under this post (and if you don’t mind, “like” the Girl to Mom Facebook page if you haven’t already. But that’s definitely not a requirement, if you’re not a Facebook person).

I’ll pick two winner’s comments at random one week from today, next Wednesday, and contact you by email for your shipping info.

I love you and you’re full of light, even on days you don’t feel like it (like me today).

XOXO-

~ Heidi

  4. What a good give away! Something that is useful. I am the type of stay at home mom that is stuck in the routines of the same meals just a different day of the week.

    Happy 2 years of blogging!

Happy (belated) Anniversary! I’d LOVE that cookbook – my kids are so flipping picky and I need HELP!

  6. Jackie says:

The cookbook looks very cute, and useful. The more things that the whole family can agree on, the better. Plus with new baby coming I know I’m not going to have the energy to be creative with meals for a while.

So, I can’t say I’m a regular commenter, mostly because this is the first time I’m ever commenting on your blog but I can say I found your blog by randomly searching for blogs and yours caught my eye to the tune of getting me to throw it in my must read list. I just started my own blog about 2 weeks ago…it’s a sequenced rendering of the very traumatic car accident me and my family got into this past May. My daughter fractured her L4 and because of it she had to wear a brace similar to your son’s. Hers had the velcro straps on each side, and a hole in the front to fit the ileostomy bag she ended up with for 3 months. Reading your last blog about the progress your son has made was very inspiring – I’ve watched my daughter make tremendous progress over the last 4 months and it’s just incredible to me how resilient children are.

Anyway, I’d love to win the ever fabulous cook book but truth be told the reason I’m leaving a comment here has more to do with the fact that as one mother to another I thought you should know your son’s story gives more hope than you probably realize. Oh, and also, that blog you did with the funny animal pics made me giggle like a school girl. :)

    Thanks for writing!

    Your newest fan,
    Sass

I stumbled across your site via “TheBloggess” and I must say I am totally addicted! I have been “catching up” on your old posts and I check back daily for the new ones. You have a wonderful way of telling a story and I hope you keep opening your heart to this blog. Happy Anniversary!!

I love your blog. It has helped me get through many hard days. You have made me cry, made me laugh, and most importantly made me smile. Your two years of stories have more often then not been the highlight of my day. While I do not have a baby shower to attend to, and I do not have any kids to take care of, yet, :) I do have an amazing roommate who loves to cook, I on the other hand, burn toast. I think this cookbook could be a good way to bond and have fun in the kitchen with the one I love. I know whomever you pick will deserve the book the most, and I hope you find the two that it will be most meaningful to! No matter what, I look forward to the years to come for your blog, and cheers to you for your anniversary.
(cheers with a wine glass full of water, of course!) much love from Texas!

Heidi, I’m too lazy to actually look at my calendar…but I think this giveaway is still active? ;)

I want this book! I entered on PW’s blog but didn’t win. Sad.

You started this blog shortly after our scoli journey started. It seems impossible that it’s been over two years. What a road!
