Crime Stopper Mom

Mom Superhero Cartoon

Moms are Superheroes.

Yesterday something crazy happened when I went to pick Bex up from school.

There was a POLICE CHASE right outside my house! My son’s elementary school was put on lock down: no one could get in and no one could get out.

Even crazier? A mom that I know, her son is in my boy’s Kindergarten class, was driving down my street and was stopped right in front of my house by a cop WITH HIS GUN DRAWN, who demanded to know where she was going.

She said to pick her son up from school. The officer said “No you’re not, I’m getting in your car,” and he GOT INTO HER CAR WITH HIS GUN!

This is not a made up story, it really happened. The funniest part about this is that this mom I know has three little kids and three car seats in her car. There was no place for the large cop to sit so he had to scrunch down on the floor! Can you imagine?

super momShe drove him a few blocks away to where other officers were apprehending the perp/suspect. The mom said there was a fight going on, a struggle, but the police got him.

What if the perp had a weapon and the mom of three little kids got shot?!

(I assume the officer who was running in front of my house was chasing a burglar.)

I didn’t see any of this go down, I was cluelessly in my house, where thank God, no criminals were hiding.

When I got to the school- I walk, it’s so close- the other parents and the mom whose car was commandeered by the police were all outside the locked fence, waiting for the principal to open it.

superhero momThe cops drove by and told us they got the suspects and the school could open the gates. We clapped and our sweet kids had no idea what happened.

I’m grateful for the L.A.P.D., good job guys!

I think committing a crime near a school raises the charges, so these criminals are super dumb, they may have committed a felony.

So just another ho-hum afternoon for the moms in my neighborhood.

How was your Tuesday?

XOXO-

My goodness! The part about the cop and the car seats is hilarious. It’d make an awfully good scene in a caper movie about the Misadventures of Mom…
